Technical Training Manager
Job Description
Develop and manage all aspect of technical training for DAS Service Center network employees in accordance with FAA Approved training program, industry best practices and company goals and objectives. This position will report to the director of quality assurance and operational excellence.
Develop and maintain training program policies and procedures.
Identify, develop and implement a Learning Management System.
Update and assist in maintaining existing training database.
Develop and manage training curriculum in accordance with:
· regulatory requirements
· company policy
· identified needs
Develop and manage master schedule to ensure:
· equitable allocation of available training
· compliance with requirements
Identify, manage and critique external training providers.
In collaboration with Human Resources, Quality, Maintenance and other departments, develop and administer class room, virtual and CBT training. Examples include but are not limited to:
· Compliance
· Employee Orientation
· Personal Development
· Human Factors
· Repair Station Procedures
· Quality System
· Remedial
· Select Technical Training
Liaison with Dassualt Director of Service Center Network as required to:
· ensure he/she is kept abreast of all DAS factory authorized training activity
· coordinate equitable application of entitlements and credits
Prepare and adhere to training budget that includes:
· Training Vendors and Suppliers
· Software and Hardware Applications
· Training Materials
· Travel
Identify and assist DAS Service Centers with obtaining available tax incentives and leveraging reimbursement programs.
Collect and maintain records of attendance for all training events in the Service Center / Repair Station training program.
Ensure that the company remains in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations as pertains to FAA required training program.
Develop system for continuous training improvement process.
Collect feedback on training programs and incorporate improvements to maximize return on the training investment.
Identify and develop employees identified as subject matter experts to develop and conduct training.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Job Requirements
Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in releated discipline preferred.
Demonstrated experience in the development of Computer Based Training using industry standard software applications.
· Experience in the selection and implementation of Learning Management Systems.
Previous experience as training manager and instructor in related business such as an Air Carrier or Large On-Demand/Fractional Ownership Carrier with maintenance capabilities, or Repair Station.
· Charismatic personality capable of engaging and motivating students to participate and absorb and retain training materials.
